PUBLIC SAFETY/LAW ENFORCEMENT
COMMUNITY EDUCATION EVENT

WHEN: SATURDAY, APRIL 16

TIME: 10 am - 12 pm

WHERE: Brookfield Elementary School

WHO: All community members including kids

Come meet with our Constable, Game Warden and representatives from the Orange County Sheriff's Department, the Vermont State Police and the Brookfield Fire Department

DRUG DROP-OFF for RX's
Free Child Fingerprinting - all ages (parents keep the fingerprints, not law enforcement)

FOR ADULTS

1. Which law enforcement agencies are responsible for what?
a. Constable
b. Orange County Sheriff's Dept.
c. Vermont State Police
d. Game Warden
e. Fire Department
2. Who do you call for what types of issues?
3. What are/have been the issues in our town as far as law enforcement?
4. What do you need to know about drugs as it relates to our community?
5. How should you dispose of prescription drugs?
6. What can community members do to help law enforcement keep our community safe?
7. Tips on Internet Safety
8. A time for you to ask questions you have.

FOR KIDS

1. For children age 8 through high school, The Orange County Sheriff's Department will be presenting the DARE (Drug
Awareness Resistance Education) Program.
2. Internet safety
Help your kids learn how to avoid drugs and get out of sticky situations without looking bad to their peers. Sheriff Bohnyak tells us he's had high school kids come and thank him for things they learned from this program back in 5th grade. It does make a difference!
