I wanted to share the agenda for Tuesday's police commission meeting, which will be held Tuesday 3/22 at 6:00 in the community room of BPD. The commission usually meets the fourth Tuesday of every month and our meetings always start with public forum. This month we have another packed agenda - check it out below, and feel free to attend. Dr. Stephanie Seguino from UVM will be presenting on her analysis of the race data collected by the department over the past few years; we'll be further discussing the December DEA raid and documents recently released in response to a public records request from one of our commissioners; we'll be hearing about the proposed memorandum of understanding with Homeland Security; and reviewing a community engagement toolkit as a possible model for a broad-based community conversation on the future role of the police commission.
