Hi Neighbors,
We have some events coming up at the orchard that you might like to attend.
This Sunday, the 29th, we'll be having our 12th Annual Pie Fest & Cider House Run. Thirty people have already registered to enter apple pies to be judged. After the judging is finished, we eat all of the pies! Entertainment will be provided by Hokum Bros. And it's free! There's also a Cider House Run/Walk for 2 or 4 miles.
On Saturday, October 5, there will be "Ringo Matsuri: Taiko in the Orchard". Local and visiting taiko groups will perform throughout the day.
On Thursday & Friday, October 17 & 18, we'll have Senior Citizens' Days. If you're old enough, you can grab apples from the ground for only $10/bushel.
And Saturday, October 19, is Truckload & Carboy Saturday. Pick up apples from the ground and fill your car or truck for a sweet deal. We'll also have a special blend of apples ready for your carboy as well as someone on-hand to answer your questions about making hard cider.
For more info on any of these events, please check the "Events: 2013" page at www.shelburneorchards.com.
Cheers,
Megan
