Featured Festival Gallery Artist Amanda Amend will give a Talk-About lecture on Saturday, March 19, at 7 pm in the Festival Gallery, 5031 Main Street, Waitsfield, Vermont.  Amend's topic is the transformation process of how she goes from the scene in front of her to the much-altered image in the painting. "I'll be showing side-by-sides of the reference and the painting, and explaining the artistic elements that I use to create atmosphere, draw the viewer in, and lead the viewer through the painting," explains Amend.

This promises to be a delightful and informative presentation. Suggested donation at the door: $10. Seating is limited; doors will open at 6:30. Valley Arts members may reserve up to four seats in advance by calling 802-496-6682. Amanda Amend’s show of watercolor paintings is on display in the Festival Gallery through March 26.
