Workshop with Reuben Jackson: Pictures in Sound
March 19th - 4:00-5:30 pm
@ Church on the Common, 7 Church Ln. Craftsbury Common
Class Fee: By Donation- Only 5 Spots Left!
Reuben will ask participants to follow and explore ideas and/or stories inspired by instrumental music (ex: Miles Davis song "Pee Wee"). From Reuben: "There is no right answer to this, and that is the joy. Or one of them. The overall magic is seeing and hearing (I ask folks to read what they've written-finished or not) the variations created from one prompt.. Kinda like... budda boom-jazz." Learn about Reuben's own writing & knowledge of Jazz, listen to great music and experiment with various writing prompts.
While this Workshop is free we do Require Registration...Simply email director@VermontArtHouse.org or call 802-586-2200
