The Huntington Conservation Commission has spent significant time this year to discuss and implement recommendations from a State of the Forest report (http://huntingtonvt.org/forms-documents/reports-and-research/conservation-commission-3/state[...]tml). There has been some progress with increase access to the forest as noted in the Town’s Annual Report. A prospective buyer recently approached the Commission about buying the forest and keeping its conversation intact.

Please join the Commission on April 21 from 7 – 8:30, at the library to hear more about this and to add your views to the discussion. We are likely to have another meeting after that to ask what community members want out of a town forest. We look forward to working together on the future our town forest.
