Marika Mccoola Graphic Novel Workshop at the Bixby!

Past event
Mar 12, 2016, 2 to 4:30 PM

Illustrator-Educator-Author Marika McCoola (more info at marikamccoola.com) will be giving a graphic novel workshop at the Bixby Library on March 12 at 2pm. There are a few spots left, if you still want to sign up! She will talk about how graphic novels work, about writing for them and about how drawing can help you build an understanding of visual storytelling. We will do several writing exercises and at least one drawing exercise, but you need not be an accomplished artist--stick figures welcome! If you've ever thought about writing a comic book, graphic novel, or even a movie (they're similarly cinematic), come and join us at the workshop in the Bixby Library's Otter Creek Room! Questions and registration to muir.haman@bixbylibrary.org
