Family Style Dinner @ Bread and Butter Farm w/ Sobremesa Ferments

Join us at the picturesque Bread and Butter Farm in Shelburne, VT on Saturday night, the 19th at 5:30 for a family style dinner featuring local fare. Roost Events [ www.RoostEventsVT.com ] presents Caitlin and Jason Elberson of Sobremesa [ www.SobremesaVT.com ], they will introduce us to their small family business of beautiful wild fermented vegetables based in Marshfield, VT.
We will start at 5:30 with appetizers and an introduction to their business, wild fermented food, their method, tastings and questions. A sit down dinner prepared by Blossom Whole Food Kitchen [ www.BlossomHolmes.com ] , designed to compliment a medley of Sobremesa ferments will follow apps:
MENU
pork from Bread and Butter Farm / tempeh served with butternut squash and a walnut apple chutney
roasted potatoes with root vegetables
local bitter green salad with kimchi dressing
onion tart with mustard and fennel

served alongside Sobremesa’s diverse line up of fermented vegetables:
beeting heart kraut
lemon dill garlic sauerkraut
gateway kimchi
curry kraut

Dessert-
chocolate dessert, tea and coffee
