Organist John Weaver and flutist Marianne Weaver present "Music from Leipzig" at North Congregational Church in St. Johnsbury this Sunday, March 13, at 3 pm. Their program features works by Bach, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Reiger, and Karg-Elert.
The Weavers retired to Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom after 45 years of making music in New York City. John was the head of the organ departments at the Juilliard School in New York and the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. He was voted International Performer of the Year by the NYC chapter of the American Guild of Organists
Marianne Weaver has studied flute with Sam Baron, William Kincaid, and Jean-Pierre Rampal.
