Grow Your Own (GYO) will host its first gathering in our new community hoop house at Atkins Field in Hardwick on April 2. We will be planting in buckets and other containers. This session will be led by Ruby Dale-Brown who has been gardening successfully in buckets for many years. The gathering will be at Atkins Field on Granite Street in Hardwick from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There will be a shared meal, and children are welcome. Space is limited, so to attend you must save a spot by calling Hardwick Area Food Pantry (HAFP) Executive Director Ruby Dale-Brown at 802-472-5940. Deadline March 30. GYO is a project of CAE, HAFP, and NEK Kids on the Move. The mission of Grow Your Own is to increase food independence, better health and wellbeing through shared knowledge and experience.
