As you can see in Monday's Addison Independent, there is still snow at the Rikert Nordic Center. The annual Citizens Race will be held for the "umpteenth time" this Saturday, March 12. It is only 3 miles long. The classic event starts at 11:00 am, and the skating event starts 10 minutes later. There is a Lollypop Race for kids 3-6 at 10:30. Fee is $5 for kids, $10 for 13 and up, and $25 for family, Be a part of ski history! (Maybe bring red klister for the classic race, unless you have waxless skis.)
