Thursday, March 17 • 12:00 to 1:00 pm
Vermont History Museum, 109 State Street, Montpelier
In 2015, underwater explorer and shipwreck diver Annette Spaulding rediscovered a petroglyph that had been submerged in the Connecticut River for over 100 years. First observed in 1806 by Edward Augustus Kendall, the petroglyph had been the focus of Spaulding’s search efforts for nearly 30 years. Now, this extraordinary archaeological carving helps to tell Vermont’s prehistoric story. Bring your bag lunch!
Third Thursdays are presented by the Vermont Historical Society.
