YIPPEE YAH HOO! The wonderful Connie Dover and Skip Gorman will once again grace us with their lilting ballads and foot-stomping tunes! Please join them on Sunday March 13th at 3PM for an inspiring afternoon house concert at Michael and Valerie Daniel's Bethel,Vermont home.
Connie's pure lark-like voice and Skip's gifted fiddling will entrance you as you dream of times gone by, replete with folklore of the Scottish Highlands to the romantic era of the Cowboys & Indians of the Wild West.
These two internationally acclaimed , award-winning performers will take you on a journey full of Scottish, Irish , Appalachian and cattle drive traditions . Skillfully blending the old world with the new you will hear of heartbreak, laments, revenge, wistful longings, great good cheer ! and how the westward migration blurred the lines of time and cultures.
Skip’s 1995 album “A Greener Prairie” was used by Ken Burns in his “Lewis and Clark” film series, and also made the top ten folk recording list by the Boston Globe which called it “one of the most masterful and flat-out gorgeous cowboy albums to lope down the trail in years.”
