Get a jump on Spring with the White River Partnership! We are seeking volunteers to harvest live willow stakes on Saturday, March 12, from 9-11 am at Hurricane Flats Farm in South Royalton.
Willows are native shrubs that grow along the White River. Later in the spring, WRP volunteers will plant these willow stakes along the White River in Bethel and Granville; as they grow, they will stabilize the soil and make our watershed more resilient!
Volunteers should dress to work in wet and muddy conditions. The WRP will provide gloves, a few pairs of loppers/pruners, and light snacks -- feel free to bring your own loppers. No registration required -- just show up at the farm at 9 am.
