The Huntington School Board is meeting at Brewster-Pierce on 6:30 on Tuesday evening. I will post the agenda below. My apologies for the late posting on this notice to the FPF, the days have snuck up on me.
I want to encourage anyone who still had their hand up when "other business" was suddenly called to an end vote on Town Meeting day to come to our meetings and utilize our community comment portion. It seemed quiet a few of you still had something to say, and we welcome the input or questions. Personally, I thought it was a wonderful discussion on Town Meeting Day and I thank everyone who participated. We need more of that! It doesn't matter if you no longer have a child in the school (knowing history can only help us shape our future for the better), or if you're like me - halfway through my Brewster-Piece "sentence" (1 child ready to move on, 1 halfway through, and 1 starting next year). Everyone in this town can contribute to making it a better place.
I want to also publicly say goodbye to Megs Keir who did not seek re-election. Her contributions to the Huntington School Board are immeasurable. Her attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and never-ending love to do what was best for the students and community was second to none. I think I can speak for all us when I say she will be greatly missed, Megs says she is not going anywhere.. and I for one, hope she means that!
Lastly I want to welcome Jordan Davies for seeking and winning the empty seat. Thank you for stepping up! I look forward to working with you!
