“Berries for Backyard Garden" March 19 - Free Presentation

Learn how to grow berries in your backyard!

David Sorensen, co owner and co manager of River Berry Farm in Fairfax, VT, will cover the major small fruits for home production, concentrating on strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. Topics will include site preparation, varieties selection, and disease and pest management. He will also present growing techniques to be able to have a bountiful production of small fruits from June through October.

Prior to starting River Berry Farm, David worked for the University of Massachusetts in strawberry research. He has been an adjunct faculty at UVM in the department of Plant and Soil Sciences, teaching vegetable and small fruit production.
