Hi all,
Vermont HOBY is our local chapter of the national non-profit organization promoting leadership among high school students. Each high school in Vermont (including Winooski) sends approximate 2 sophomores per year to a four day conference. Following attendance, these students, called "ambassadors", are encouraged to return to their home schools and become leaders through actions and influencing others to make a difference in their communities. Each ambassador is challenged to perform at least 100 hours of community service in the year after they attend. This year's conference will be held at St Mikes from May 26-29. Funding of all HOBY events are done through volunteer fundraising, so we need your help! We want to encourage further participation from Winooski at this wonderful, life-changing conference!
We will be driving around Winooski in hopes of collecting bottles and donations! Please feel free to contact me with any further questions at 802-777-3763, or check out Vermont HOBY's website at www.hobyvt.org
Recent past participants of Vermont HOBY from Winooski include:
Jessica LaMothe (2009)
Katie Decarreau & Rebecca Spittle (2010)
Kaitlyn Callahan & Canary Ly (2011)
Cara Casier (2012)
Riley Corrigan & Marie Ly (2015)
Thank you for all your help!
