What is Proficiency Based Learning (PBL) and Standards Based Grades (SBG)? Hear from a panel of local educators who have been leading the transition to this standards based academic approach.
Panel will include HCS administrators as well as CVU Principal, Adam Bunting, CVU Guidance Counselor, Patti Tomashot and CSSU Director of Student Learning, Jeff Evans, CSSU.
You’ll leave this meeting with a deeper understanding of:
* Why PBL is a CSSU initiative and its phased roll-out across all K-12 subjects.
* The instructional shifts from when we were students until today.
* The evolution of report cards.
* The impact PBL will have on college placement and its adoption beyond VT.
Following the panel discussion there will be dessert and the opportunity to have one-on-one conversations with panelists and fellow parents. This event is sponsored by PiE.
