Join local author Richard Allen in a discussion of local history. The Chittenden County Historical Society has published Richard Allen’s latest book, Ambition and Grit: The Life of Truman Naramore, Civil War Veteran and Entrepreneur.Truman Naramore’s life reveals the impact of some major events of the nineteenth century on one man and his family: the Civil War, the mechanization of agriculture, and migration west. Fans of Vermont history, the Civil War, and nineteenth century farming will be especially interested in Naramore’s life.
