For Vermont Reads 2016 Vermonters will be revisting Shackleton's disasterous and miraculous 1914 Antarctica expedition.

On Thursday February 25 at 7pm in in the Community Room (downstairs) at the Fletcher Memorial Library the Friends of the Library will host a talk by Peter LaBelle about his recent sojourn in the Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctica.

LaBelle is a Cavendish resident who traveled to the Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctica on the National Geographic Explorer for three weeks in November 2015.

He will present a recap of his travels with an accompanying slideshow of images of the trip.
