The Irish “Wave” in the Green Mountains February 20, 2016
Vince Feeney, author of a published history of the Irish in Vermont, Finnigans, Slaters and Stonepeggers, tells the little-known story of Irish immigrants in mid-nineteenth century Vermont who fled the Irish potato famine in their homeland and settled in Vermont. This talk is a VT Humanities Council program hosted by the VT Genealogy Library from 10:30 until noon. This talk is free.

DNA Tests: Maternal & Paternal Lines February 27, 2016
For almost 15 years these DNA tests have been identifying our patrilineal (father’s father’s line) & matrilineal lines. Their very reliable results are easy to understand and to utilize in your genealogical research. This talk will explain when & how to use them and what to do with the data. Classes at the Vermont Genealogy Library are $5.00 and run from 10:30 to noon.
