Maplefest April 2

All new Maplefest. Flag Football, Basket Party, Craft Fair, Our own Sugar Bear passing out maple seeds, maple sugar house tours, tapping of a maple tree with our own Patty McCoy and special guest. Young at Heart Seniors having a maple glazed pork dinner from 5:00 to 7:00, 5 K run sponsored by Katie's Kids, the Foundation Church and Donna Johnson Therapy, Pancake breakfast by PDRC and the Rotary, Poultney Historical Society with video of maple sugaring. We are crowning a Prince and Princess this year. The 2nd and 3rd graders will draw a picture and the Poultney Art Guild will judge them. The Prince and Princess will receive their own Sugar Bear and if they would like ride in the July 4th Parade. There will be a Bag party with Discount Food of Poultney, Williams True Hardware, The Original Vermont Store and Stitchy Women. Area restaurants will be serving maple goodies, Peltier's will be outside of Stitchy Women serving maple fried dough. Story hour at the library and a craft beer tasting with snacks at Taps. The commercial kitchen at the College will be teaching cooking with maple, registration is limited, so sign up early. You will get to eat what you make. Also we will be having a maple cookoff as well.With more things in the works. We are planning on making this the biggest Maplefest ever asking all organizations in town to participate.
