Grow Your Own (GYO) will start off the gardening season on March 5 with a gathering on the topic of starting seeds indoors. This will be led by Sarah Vecci who has much experience growing at High Mowing Organic Seeds. The gathering will be at the Center for an Agricultural Economy in Hardwick from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There will be a shared meal, and children are welcome. Space is limited, so to attend you must save a spot by calling Hardwick Area Food Pantry (HAFP) Executive Director Ruby Dale-Brown at 802-472-5940. Deadline March 2. GYO is a project of CAE, HAFP, and NEK Kids on the Move. The mission of Grow Your Own is to increase food independence, better health and wellbeing through shared knowledge and experience.
