Fifteen Northeast Kingdom musicians will present a “Classical Music Showcase” on Sunday, February 21, at 3 pm at St. Johnsbury’s North Church on Main St.
Appearing as the Northeast Kingdom Piano Quintet, Jan-Piet Knijff, piano; Elaine Stasny, oboe; Billie Winter, clarinet; Jon Reis, bassoon; and Charles Mayhood, French horn will perform a quintet by Beethoven. Knijff will also accompany Emily Wiggett’s flute solo by Verheij and Alvin Schulmann, violin and Dove Zeigler, cello on a Telemann sonata.  
Accompanied by pianist Marie-Helene Belanger, tenor Phil Brown will sing songs by Schubert, Utterback, and Barber.
Jason Bergman and Cynthia Swartz on violin and Valerie Morse on viola will present a string trio by Haydn. Pianist and soprano Shari Fleming and organist Barbara Connelly will round out the program. 
The concert is the third in the inaugural series by Main St. Arts @ North, in collaboration with Main St. Arts @ St. Andrew’s. Tickets available through Catamount Arts (www.catamountarts.org) or at the door.
