Exploring Independence Mixer Thursday, 2/18 6:00 PM

Curious about an alternative educational path for our local children? Want to engage with other citizens in dialogue about ideas, hopes, and opinions regarding the current climate surrounding our schools?

Exploring Independence, a group of active community members interested in learning more about the potential and process of creating a local, independent elementary school is hosting an informal mixer this Thursday evening February 18th from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Warren Library.

The transition from public to independence is initiated for many reasons and has recently been on the minds of many families at the Warren School and in the Washington West Supervisory Union as a whole. Our mission is to attempt to uncover a simpler, more child-centered option for our local students and create an inclusive school environment where individuality, innovation and collaborative local control help to ensure our children receive the education they deserve.

This event is open and free to the public including people outside of Warren and who do not currently have school aged children. Refreshments will be served and children are welcome.
