The Berlin Congregational Church is installing a Labyrinth in the apple orchard behind the church. Saturday, September 28th is work day. People will be gathering at the church at 9:30 to lay the pavers. The Labyrinth will be open to the public once completed. We invite anyone in the community who would like to be a part of this project to join us Saturday. It is a big project and any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. People can work in shifts. If you can help us, please call me at 223-5306 so we know how many people to plan for. Also if you plan on helping and have any of the following tools, please bring them with you - shovel, edge cutter, trowels, wheelbarrow, hoe & rakes. Once again any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
Now if you are wondering what a Labyrinth is - it is a sacred ancient meditation tool that has been around for over 4000 years. Our Labyrinth is in the form of a circle with a large rock in the center. It is a meandering path from the edge to the center and back out. It only has one path taking you to the center and back out on the same path. The path becomes a metaphor of our journey through life. Each persons walk is a personal experience.
