The Summit School of Traditional Music and Culture has invited the Young Tradition Touring Group to help bring some heat to Vermont’s midwinter! The Touring Group will appear on Saturday, February 20, 2016, from 5pm to 6pm as part of the 6th annual “Spice on Snow” Winter Music, Food and Dance Festival. The Touring Group’s free concert will take place at Bethany Church in Montpelier, immediately followed by a Cajun dinner with music by Kick ‘Em Jenny. The Sweetback Sisters will then present their unique form of honky-tonk and close harmonies at 7:30PM.

Led by Artistic Director Pete Sutherland, the 2015/2016 Young Tradition Touring Group includes 20 auditioned members ranging in age from 12 to 20. Though most Touring Group members are from Vermont, a few hail from as far as Maine, Massachusetts, and Quebec.
