The Waterbury Public Library is officially open! As with any new venture, there are still a few technical bugs we are working out, so please bear with us. Hours this week are 10 AM -8 PM Wednesday, 10 AM - 5 PM Thursday and Friday. Saturday we will be open from 10 -2.
We hope you can join us for the Grand Opening Ceremony and celebration for entire Waterbury Municipal Center, this Friday, February 12, starting at 2:00 PM with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Governor Shumlin and other dignitaries have been invited to speak. Then from 3 - 5 PM, join us for an Open House with tours and a reception - "A Taste of Waterbury" - in the Steele Conference room. Many of our local restaurants and Friends have donated special treats to make this celebration a very special occasion.
The opening celebration will continue on Saturday, February 13 from 10 AM - 2 PM in the Library with special family-oriented events. Come in for music, light refreshments, more tours, and special family programs, including a puppet show in our beautiful, bright new children's space!
We encourage the entire community to come to one of the Grand Opening/Open House celebrations - this beautiful new building could not have been possible without your support - thank you!
