Join Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department's Bernie Pientka for a free presentation on their 2015 Ice Fishing Angler Survey.

Location: Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge; 29 Tabor Road, Swanton
Date: February 11, 2016
Time: 7:00pm

During the winter of 2015 the Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife undertook an ice fishing angler survey, focusing on eight areas of Northern Lake Champlain. The areas included: East and West sides of Missisquoi Bay, Tabor Point, Maquam Shore, Dillenbeck Bay, Carry Bay, LaMotte Passage and Kelly Bay. The survey had four primary purposes: 1) estimate angling effort in each area, 2) estimate catch and harvest for most fish species, 3) collect biological information such as length and weight on the fish harvested by anglers, and 4) compare these results to earlier surveys. The presentation will review the survey and present the results for the different areas. Additionally we will compare the 2015 results to earlier survey
