Thursday the 11th

The Winter Without Winter is hitting many local small businesses harder than you might think. With the closing of Sauce this past week, it is vital that our community recognize how their support will either make our break businesses trying to survive the next five months. Valentines Day is right around the corner so many shops are coming together this Thursday to stay open later, have a party, and/or offer extra special savings to our friends and neighbors. Local Love Thursday. Please consider coming out and doing your part, even just a little, to make this a great day for your friends and neighbors who own or work at these many small businesses.

I encourage every business in town that is offering something special this Thursday to post it here and spread the word about your wonderfulness. I encourage shoppers to plan on coming out and visiting those businesses that are making an extra effort to show you the love.

Finally, make your local restaurant reservations for Sunday the 14th (don't be left out in the cold). Order flowers from local florists. Pick up some of the unbelievable local chocolates made in Stowe. And get your cards and gifts right here in this great town. Every one of these businesses appreciates your support and love more than you will ever know.
