Preview of Feb. 8 City Council Meeting

Past event
Feb 8, 2016, 6:30 to 9 PM

Dear Neighbors,

On Monday, the City Council will hold the first of two meetings for the month of February.

The Council will begin its evening at 6:30pm with a meeting of the Board of Civil Authority to determine whether to grant an appellant a full review hearing.

Following this meeting, we will move into our City Council meeting also in Contois Auditorium in City Hall. The first item on our agenda is a presentation on the Vehicles for Hire ordinance. There will be no vote taken Monday evening.

There are three items on our deliberative agenda. The first is a presentation from Sherida Paulson, the principal architect working with Don Sinex of Devonwood Investors, the owner of the Burlington Town Center mall. Our last agenda item will be an Executive Session on the MOU between the City and Devonwood. Our other agenda item is a resolution approving use of the Conservation Legacy Fund monies to acquire 12 acres on the former Burlington College land.

Our last items on our agenda are Council committee reports, comments from Councilors and the Mayor.

As with all Council meetings, please keep in mind that you are always welcome to come and speak to the Council on any subject you wish during our Public Forum which begins at 7:30pm. Clickable agenda items can be found on the City's website:
https://www.boarddocs.com/vt/burlingtonvt/Board.nsf/Public All Council meetings are televised live on BT Channel 317 and streamed live to your computer or phone.

As always, I welcome your questions and concerns. Please be in touch over the weekend and on Monday.

My best,
Karen
