Here are a few highlights for Monday’s City Council meeting:

Vehicles for Hire Ordinance
We will hear a presentation on the work that the Ordinance Committee has been doing regarding the city’s “Vehicles for Hire Ordinance.” They have been working on this for some time now and I thank them for their work and look forward to this presentation. We are not voting on any changes at this time. There are currently no documents posted regarding this item.

Downtown Mall (Burlington Town Center) Development
There will also be a presentation regarding the Burlington Town Center by the principle architect and owner of the mall. Later in our agenda there is an expected executive session regarding the Memorandum of Understanding for this development. There are also no documents posted regarding this item.

Conservation Legacy Funds-Former Burlington College Land

There are a number of items that may be of interest to you on our Consent Agenda. These items are voted on in a block unlike the Deliberative Agenda where we discuss each item separately. Here’s the list of some items you might find interesting:

ECOS Plan Annual Report. ECOS is a project of the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC) and is described as, “both a process and a plan for managing sustainable growth in Chittenden County.”

There will also be meeting of the North Ave Task Force which has been working for many months on the Pilot project. This meeting will be Tuesday 2/9, 6-8pm, at the Miller Center in the New North End. The task force has a website, which can be found here: http://www.avenueforeveryone.com/
