The news article for the Shelburne News about the Historian, Howard Coffin's talk didn't get printed this week. However, the article is on the website: http://www.shelburnenews.com/2016/02/04/howard-coffins-to-speak-on-vermonters-in-the-civil-war/
Howard Coffin is a seventh generation Vermonter and a very accomplished historian and speaker. He will be talking about Vermonters and the Civil War. The event is sponsored by the Vermont Humanities Council and hosted by the Shelburne Historical Society.
Come and enjoy Mr. Coffin's talk, Feb. 8 at 7PM, at the Shelburne Town Hall. The Shelburne Historical Society has prepared an exhibit of Shelburne Civil War documents. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the history of our Town and State. Parents, bring your school age children; they will enjoy the talk and you will help to cultivate in your children a lifelong interest in our culture and history.
