Climatologist Presentation Feb. 19

Past event
Feb 19, 2016

Where has our winter gone? If that's something that's been on your mind, help is at hand. On February 19, the Jericho Energy Task Force will present a talk by State Climatologist, Lesley-Ann Dupigny-Giroux, at the Deborah Rawson Memorial Library. This is your chance to learn about phenomena like El Nino, the Polar Vortex and the North Atlantic Oscillation and how they impact our daily lives. Dupigny-Giroux is both a geographer and a climatologist and she will use her talk to explain how various factors come together to create weather patterns. The interactive presentation should be of interest to anyone who spends time outdoors in Vermont.

The presentation will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, February 19 at the Deborah Rawson Memorial Library. Refreshments will be served but it will be a waste-free event so attendees are asked to bring their own bowls and mugs.
