If you haven't already put it on your calendar, make sure you set aside Sunday January 31 for a lively musical afternoon. Vermont's own Atlantic Crossing Band will fill tiny Gethsemane Church in Proctorsville with their dynamic traditional acoustic music from New England, the British Isles and French & Maritime Canada. Rich harmonies and compelling rhythms imbued with a deep love of the tradition, emotional expression and a healthy dose of fun are the hallmarks of an Atlantic Crossing performance. If your heart and feet are moved by the sounds of fiddle, guitar, mandolin, banjo, bouzouki, foot percussion and African djembe drum you'll have a hard time sitting still. This Raise the Roof concert series performance starts at 4:00 in the church at 89 Depot St. and admission is a mere $10.00 at the door. If you come from the south don't forget to take the quick detour on Rte. 103 into downtown Proctorsville.
