The Vermont Youth Orchestra, conducted by Music Director Jeffrey Domoto, performs its 2016 winter concert at the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, January 31st, 2016 at 3:00pm. This concert is not to be missed! The VYOA’s flagship orchestra performs Antonin Dvořák’s Te Deum, Op. 103, with a massed choir of singers from high schools across the state and the Vermont Youth Orchestra Chorus. This is the first-ever statewide choral collaboration hosted by the VYOA, with nearly 100 singers hailing from Mount Mansfield Union High School, BFA Fairfax, Champlain Valley Union High School, Harwood Union High School, Mill River Union High School, and Burr & Burtin Academy joining VYO Chorus members. Soloists are Sarah Cullins (soprano) and Erik Kroncke (bass). Other works on the program include Leonard Bernstein's Overture to West Side Story and Igor Stravinsky's epic Firebird.
