The weather may be cold outside, but music warms the soul from the inside out! The third annual "Local Legends benefit concert brings together a fresh group of truly outstanding local musicians who make significant contributions to the national musical landscape.
The Concert Line-up:
Hinesburgs own Dennis Willmotts Left Eye Jump Blues Band (Joe Moore, Kenny B, and Jeff Salisbury) open the show with sounds from Chicago, Texas, New Orleans, California, and the Delta of the 40s, 50s, and 60s. This well-loved band delivers on the promise that the blues speak to the very core of all people.
Singer-songwriter Patti Casey's New England bluegrass style makes for a soulful, special second act.
"Some music is great. Some music is essential. Patti Casey is essential. Gary Raynor, bassist for the Guys' All-Star Shoe Band of A Prairie Home Companion.
Last, and certainly not least, Pete's Posse - multi-instrumentalists Pete Sutherland, Oliver Scanlon and Tristan Henderson - are local and national favorites. Featuring Pete's rootsy songs, the bands original and traditional fiddle music, and a few unique covers, this band provides a fine opportunity for an intimate listen to an ever-evolving musical friendship that spans generations!
