Tracks and Trees: An Outdoor Workshop with Lynn Levine
…and a Fundraiser for Halifax Conservation Group!

Join forester, author and seasoned tracker Lynn Levine for a morning of discovery in the woods of Halifax, VT on Saturday, February 13. Participants will learn to think like the animals they are tracking and connect with the forested landscape. Participants should dress for the outdoors and bring snowshoes. Lynn has extra snowshoes so just let us know. Pre-registration is required since there is a maximum of 15 participants.

WHERE Halifax, VT

DESCRIPTION Lynn Levine will present this winter animal tracking hike in Halifax, Vermont. This easy-to-moderate hike will likely require snowshoes, depending on weather conditions. It is open to adults and to children age 10 and up, though trackers under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Registrants will receive directions to our starting point in Halifax. The group will reconvene indoors after the hike for hot drinks, a hearty lunch, and a Q & A session with our guide.

Lynn is a licensed forester and tracking expert. She is the co-author of Mammal Tracks and Scat: Life-Size Tracking Guide; Working with your Woodland: A Landowners Guide; and the author of Mammal Tracks and Scat: Life-Size Pocket Guide; and Snow Secrets. She holds a master’s degree in forestry from the University of Massachusetts.

Space is limited, so pre-registration is required. Early-bird registration (on or before Tuesday,February 9) is $50 per person (workshop only) or $55 (workshop plus lunch). After January 27, if any spaces remain available, registration will be $55 per person (workshop) or $60 (workshop + lunch). There will be no registration on the day of the event.
