Take Your Child to the Library Week at the Poultney Public Library

Saturday, February 6 is Take Your Child to the Library Day. The Poultney Public Library will be using the event to kick off a weeklong celebration designed to encourage young people to visit the library.

February 6th through February 12th the library will have special stickers to hand out to young visitors, and will have a craft set up each day. There will be a prize drawing every day of our Take Your Child to the Library weeklong event. Children aged 0-12 can enter each day. To be eligible they simply need visit the library and sign up for the drawing of the day. All entries will be saved for a grand prize drawing at the end of the week, so the more days you visit the library the more chances you have in the grand prize drawing.

Tuesday, February 9 is our Mardi Gras celebration. Stop by any time to get beads for saying please and to make your own mask. Come in after 6pm for face painting and music. There will also be storytelling at 6:30pm. Friday, February 12 we will kick of our winter Story Time series. Story Time will be held Friday, February 12 through Friday, March 4 at 11:00am. Story Time is designed for the interest and skill level of toddlers and preschoolers, but is open to children of all ages.
