Event: Sep 28, 2013, 4:00 PM - 7:30 PM
The Vermont Community Garden Network, in partnership with several local restaurants, is holding a fundraiser dinner this Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Intervale in Burlington.
The evening of delicious local food, drink, music, and good company celebrates the harvest and supports community and school gardens across the state. Chefs from Nika, Crop Bistro, Half Pint Farm, Guild Fine Meats, and VT Works For Women Fresh Food have created a special garden-inspired feast to be paired with a new Zero Gravity beer made especially for the event.
Hors doeuvres, drinks, and live music by High-Low-Jack (old-timey, hillbilly jazz) start at 5pm at the Intervale Center Community Barn and the family-style dinner is at 6pm. The fun starts earlier at 4pm with tours of VCGNs Community Teaching Garden and Tommy Thompson Community Garden.
Tickets are $80 and include two drinks (cash bar available). Proceeds from the event help more people grow fresh, healthy food for their families and neighbors.
Call (802) 861-4769 or go to www.vcgn.org/feast for tickets and menu details.
