Lamoille Valley Rail Trail Committee Meeting Jan. 20

Past event
Jan 20, 2016

Join the official Lamoille Valley Rail Trail Committee at our meeting on Wed January 20 at 5:30pm at the Tegu Building (Morristown Town Offices). Along with a presentation, the community is invited to get involved with the future of building the trail.

The Vermont Association of Snow Travelers (VAST), the organization building the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail (LVRT), announces openings on their LVRT Management Committee. This committee meets once monthly on the third Wednesday of the month in Morrisville from 5:30-7pm at the Tegu Building (Morristown Town Offices). Committee members concentrate their efforts primarily on coordinating maintenance of the completed sections, community outreach and fundraising in order to complete the trail.

Constructing this amazing 93 mile trail is a large project and when completed, the LVRT will be the longest rail trail in New England. As a multi-use, four-season trail, it will become a premier recreation destination with significant positive economic impact on the communities in Northern Vermont. At this time, there are over thirty miles completed and in use. We hope you will consider attending our next meeting on January 20, 2016 for a presentation outlining an overview of the project, what has been accomplished to date and what still remains to finish the various sections of trail.
