The following message is from the Huntington Selectboard:

The Huntington Selectboard unanimously voted to actively support the Sunday, February 7, 2016 screening of the award winning documentary film entitled ‘The Hungry Heart’. We recognize the importance of community education regarding prescription drug abuse that may lead to opioid addiction and all that it entails. It is a matter of public safety and public health and it is having a devastating impact on families in every community in Vermont, including Huntington. A community discussion on prevention and treatment of prescription drug addiction will be facilitated by filmmaker Bess O’Brien immediately following the 90-minute film. In addition to the film showing and community dialogue, information will be available about addiction resources. The Selectboard hopes you will be able to attend this important program.
