Announcement of The Hungry Heart film: Mark your calendars!!!

The Hungry Heart, a documentary film on prescription drug addiction and recovery in Vermont, will be shown on Sunday, February 7, 2016, at 5 pm ,at the Huntington Public Library. The film’s award-winning Director, Bess O’Brien of Kingdom County Productions, will run a Q and A after the screening/showing. Come and be part of an important community conversation about this pressing issue. We are hoping to see people from other communities, including Hinesburg, Richmond, Starksboro and Bolton.

Kingdom County Productions and the Huntington o-sponsors (Neighbor Helping Neighbor, Huntington Public Library, Richmond Family Medicine, Pleasant Mount Farm greenhouse, Beaudry’s Store, The Good Run Incorporated, Arrowwood Environmental) have combined to bring the film and this conversation to Huntington. The Huntington Selectboard voted to help in the promotion of the event.

It has been shown throughout Vermont, in high schools and across the country, serving as a platform for discussing what communities can do to prevent, treat and help people recover. While treatment issues and recovering are big issues, prevention is the key.
