Carpenters Tribute Concert to benefit the Charter House Coalition!

Mark your calendars for a special concert on Saturday evening, Jan. 23, 7:00 pm, at the Champlain Valley Unitarian Universalist Church (near Middlebury Union High School) when a "Carpenters Tribute Concert" will help raise funds for the emergency housing and meal programs of the Charter House Coalition here in Middlebury.

I think you'll really enjoy hearing many of the songs of the Carpenters, with singer-actress Sally Olson, who has been touring her "A Song for You" program around the state. Sally sang with Middlebury College Chamber Singers when I (Jeff Rehbach) directed them back in the early 2000s, and I highly recommend this performance, with her sensitive interpretation of many of the Carpenters' popular songs, accompanied by the Middlebury Community Chorus's fantastic pianist, Tim Guiles.

Any amount is welcome at the door that evening -- your generous support helps feed thousands of people through community meals, and house those in need this winter.
