Past event
Jan 15, 2016, 12 to 1 PM

Dear Neighbors,

This Friday, the City Council will hold the third of four meetings for the month of January. The City Council meets annually on the third Friday of January to hold public hearings on Charter Changes that are proposed to appear on the Town Meeting Day ballot. Following the public hearings, the Council will then vote to approve these proposed changes for the March ballot.

There are three proposed changes. The first would increase the number of members of the Police Commission from five to seven. The second would increase the number of members of the Parks and Recreation Commission from five to seven. The third change would address the timing and publication of the audit.

The Council meeting this Friday will be held at noon in Contois Auditorium in City Hall. The public is encouraged to come and speak to any of these proposed changes. This agenda and clickable agenda items can be found on the City's website:

As always, I welcome your questions and concerns. Please be in touch in the next few days.

My best,
Karen
