The Essex Children’s Choir presents
The 29th Annual Twelfth Night Celebration
Twelfth Night Celebration presented by the Essex Children’s Choir, this Saturday, January 9, 2016, 6:30 pm, Saint Michael’s College Chapel, Colchester.
The concert, in its 29th year, brings to close the celebration of Christmas in a joyful musical setting of song, dance, instruments and prose.
Joining the choir are Heidi Soons, harp, Wayne Hobbs, tenor, Wheeler Trombone Quartet, Full Circle Recorder Consort, Adirondack Ballet Ensemble, and guest choir Bella Voce Women’s Chorus.
Joyful sounds of Christmas by Anthony Holborne, Michael Praetorius, Bach-Gounod, Roland Hayes, Harry T. Burleigh, Benjamin Britten, John Rutter, and carols to welcome the New Year. Special feature, Bella Voce Women’s Chorus of Vermont and the children’s choir will perform Lullaby from HODIE by Ralph Vaughn Williams, Dormi, Dormi, O Bel Bambin, arr. by Robert De Cormier, and Sussex Carol arr. by David Willcocks.
