Pipe and Slippers will open the 2016 season of Community Coffeehouses at Peacham Library on Saturday, January 9 at 7pm. The four-member, up and coming, folk/indie band plays a variety of music ranging from folk to pop along with a few of their own compositions. Instruments include guitar, fiddle, electric bass, banjo, octave mandolin, and an occasional drum.
Pipe and Slippers stepped up to the open mike last year at one of the Community Coffeehouses. Now, after playing a at farmer’s markets, The Kingdom Taproom and First Night, are ready to headline the coffeehouse evening. As always there will be an open mike after their set. All are welcome to try the open mike and perhaps start a musical career!
In addition to lively music, there will be coffee, tea, cider and light refreshments. The Community Coffeehouse is a fund-raising event for the library with donations accepted at the door. Looking ahead, Fifth Business will be the headliner at the Community Coffeehouse on February 6th.
