The South Hero School Board is seeking public input as they finalize the budget for the 2016/2017 school year. There will be a Community Forum held on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 6:00pm at Folsom School and we strongly encourage you to attend. This budget cycle is particularly challenging in light of the spending caps set by the legislature with the passage of Act 46. IN ORDER TO REMAIN BELOW THE 2.02% PER PUPIL SPENDING CAP, THE BOARD IS BEING FACED WITH HAVING TO MAKE BUDGET CUTS WHICH COULD HAVE A SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON OUR SCHOOL IN AREAS OF BOTH STAFFING AND PROGRAMMING. The meeting will also include information regarding Act 46 and the progress being made by the Act 46 committee. Please plan to attend this important Community Forum and let your voices be heard on both of these issues!
