RMHS: High School for a Day Program

Past event
Jan 29, 2016, 8 AM to 2:30 PM

7th and 8th graders are invited to attend Rice's annual High School for a Day (HS4D) Part I on Friday, January 29 (Part II for 4-6th graders will be scheduled for mid-May). HS4D is a unique opportunity for middle school students to familiarize themselves with Rice, our faculty and students. Participants customize their HS4D schedule by choosing from a variety of hands-on activities specially-created to highlight Rice's classes, clubs, and sports. This year's program offerings include:

Math: Geometric Probability with Darts
Science: Raft Rally
English: Poetry Out Loud
Foreign Language: VENI, VIDI, VINCO! I came, I saw, I played Latin bingo!
Technology: 3D Modeling with Sketch Up
Campus Ministry: Volunteers and Valentines
Religion: Timeline of Salvation Game
Scholars' Bowl
Stunt Nite: What is it? And, how can I do that?
Model UN
Mini-Pep Rally

Due to space limitations, we are able to accommodate just 75 students. This program fills up fast! RSVP at www.rmhsvt.org by January 13 to reserve your child's spot. For more information, contact Christy Bahrenburg at (802) 862-6521 ext. 235.
