The Town has been working on re-writing it's planning By-Laws. The By-Laws provide an opportunity for the Town to require developers to build sidewalks when they construct in commercial or dense residential areas. When the By-Laws were brought to the Selectboard for approval, residents came to the meeting and spoke about the importance of more sidewalks in the Town. This prompted the Selectboard to ask the Planning Board to review the By-Laws and look at the sidewalk requirements. Tuesday night at 6:30 is when the Planning Board is meeting for the review. Please come and voice your opinion to the Planning Board. Sidewalks improve the health and safety our residents. There is momentum growing within the Town and Selectboard to make sidewalks a higher priority, but the more voices the better. It s a great opportunity to be heard.
